The catacombs entrence is in TNN. Just go up from the North gate to the merchants and you will see a crack in the hillside with glowies coming out of it.

Don't forget to use /map - it works, but not in the instants wings.

There is no horses in the catacombes, nor pit ponies; the league against crulty to animals objected. Instead there is obelisks, which need to be actived to go back too.
